  1. Palo Alto Networks PANWPalo Alto Networks, the cybersecurity giant, climbed roughly 18% in the past week, one of the sharpest weekly gains among large tech names. The company's revenue is growing at about a third per year, driven by businesses and governments spending more on digital security. That said, the stock's price relative to what the company actually earns in profit is extremely stretched: it would take over 80 years of today's expected earnings to equal the current price.Rank 1
  2. SoFi Technologies SOFISoFi, the online bank and lending app, jumped about 12% in the past week on a big spike in trading activity, roughly three times the usual level. The company has been growing its revenue by more than 40% a year and recently turned consistently profitable, which is a milestone for a younger financial company. SoFi's price tends to swing about twice as much as the broader market on any given day, so big jumps like this can give back a chunk just as quickly.Rank 2
  3. First Trust NASDAQ Cybersecurity ETF CIBRThis cybersecurity-focused fund (CIBR) gained about 9% in the past week, lifted by strong performances from its biggest holdings like Palo Alto Networks, CrowdStrike, and Fortinet. If you own any of those stocks individually, know that nearly 40% of this fund is concentrated in just five companies, so you'd effectively be doubling up. The fund has returned about 45% so far this year, which is a standout number. Its annual fee is about 0.58%, which is below average for tech funds. Because it holds almost nothing outside of tech security companies, its price tends to swing quite a bit when the tech sector has a rough patch.Rank 3
  4. ARK Genomic Revolution ETF ARKGARK's Genomic Revolution fund (ARKG), which invests in companies working on gene editing, DNA sequencing, and similar technologies, gained about 6% in the past week. The fund is heavily concentrated: its top three holdings, Twist Bioscience, 10x Genomics, and Tempus AI, make up nearly 30% of the fund. These are smaller, speculative companies, so the fund's price tends to swing about twice as much as the overall market. It holds only healthcare stocks, so there is no built-in cushion from other industries.Rank 4
  5. Brent oil · Brent Crude Oil Futures In the past week it edged up less than 1%, which is a pause after a big climb. At around $110 a barrel, the price is well above where it spent most of the past year, and it is sitting close to its 52-week high of about $118. Oil at these levels tends to swing sharply: on a typical day the price can shift more than 2%, and the sharpest single-day drop in the past year was about 15%. OPEC production decisions and global economic health are the two biggest things driving the price right now.Rank 5
  6. Pepe PEPE, the meme-themed cryptocurrency based on the Pepe the Frog internet character, gained about 3% in the past week with noticeably more people trading it than usual. There is no company behind it, no product, and no development team building anything, so its price is driven entirely by internet culture and speculation. Tokens like this have historically seen gains of 100% or more in good stretches and losses of 80% or more in bad ones. It currently ranks around 50th among all cryptocurrencies by total value.Rank 7
  7. Australian Dollar (AUD) AUDThe Australian dollar edged up about half a percent against the U.S. dollar in the past week. A big reason is that Australia exports a lot of iron ore and copper, and both have had strong prices. The Aussie dollar is currently sitting right around its long-run average level, which is a kind of crossroads: in past years when it reached this point after a strong run, it sometimes kept climbing another 3-5% but other times pulled back 2-4%. The gap between Australian and American interest rates, which has been narrowing, is the key thing to watch.Rank 9
